Hampton Commons is a private townhouse community for which construction began in 1985. It consists of 300 units grouped in 51 buildings of four, six or eight units each. The streets are all named after birds: Eagle Drive, Sparrow Circle, Oriole Terrace, Pelican Point, Bluebird Court, Cardinal Lane, Rhea Run, Peregrine Point.
Each unit has one or two bedrooms, a maximum of two-and-one-half baths and an attached garage. Most units have a full basement. Heating is accomplished by natural gas fired furnaces and forced hot air and many units have fireplaces. Most units have individual central air conditioning systems operating via the same internal ducting as the heating system. Natural gas fired units, separate from the building heat system, accomplish original water heating and the original kitchen range setup was also natural gas.
The Clubhouse - Hampton Commons has a large clubhouse with a main room for meetings, recreational and social purposes. There is also an exercise room that is open to residents. The newly renovated main room is available for rent and has a new dance floor, 60" wide-screen TV with computer interface, full kitchen, bar, more! For more details on the Clubhouse, click here.
Playground, Tennis and Basketball - Hampton Commons has a large state-of-the-art playground with a full range of equipment and play attractions for children. There are two tennis courts and a basketball court for use by residents as well.
Swimming Pools - Adjacent to the Clubhouse are two in-ground pools, for adults and children, which are open in the summer and protected by a lifeguard.
Ponds - Hampton Commons has two beautiful ponds populated with fish and fowl, adding to our bucolic setting. |
